I want this blog to be about so many things.

I thought that my first post would've been written about a month ago upon finding out that yet another one of my college classmates had been shot and killed while out partying. I wanted to just flush out some ideas regarding: senseless violence that continues to perpetuate our communities...about what it means for even degree-seeking black men to be at the grips of bullets, blood, and bullshit. heavy stuff right? yea, I figured that.

A friend told me: No, you should just make this about you and Spain. I kind of agree, for now. That is not to say my classmatess' lost lives are less important than whatever encounters I'll run into while studying abroad in Sevilla, Spain for the next three months; however,  I do think that hurling myself into this eye-opening, epic journey and sharing it with the world is a much better commemoration.
 
So here goes nothing, and everything at the same time.
